In order to avoid posing a danger to pedestrians, or causing them to get a fright each time they unwittingly cross paths with a BLUECAR, the Pininfarina BLUECAR is fitted with a "Soft Sound" button in addition to its normal horn, designed to advertise its presence with a gentle, humming sound.
